Who Provides the Alcohol?
Bar Bees operates as a premier dry hire bartending service across Central Ohio. We do not hold a liquor license and do not purchase, sell, or supply alcohol. We provide professional mixologists, mobile bar setups, custom mixers and garnishes, while you supply the alcohol.
Under Ohio state regulations, mobile bartending services without a brick-and-mortar liquor permit cannot purchase, resell, or markup alcoholic beverages for private events. Operating under the dry hire model allows us to legally serve your event while keeping your beverage costs transparent and controllable.
Once your custom cocktail menu is selected, our team generates a detailed alcohol shopping list specifying precise bottle counts for your guest count and event duration. You pay retail pricing directly to the alcohol vendor of your choice, saving money compared to traditional caterer markups.

Responsible Service.
At Bar Bees our bartenders take responsible serving seriously. We can and will verify identification to serve alcohol only to guests age 21 and older, and reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to anyone who is intoxicated or whose behavior creates a safety concern.
Ohio Laws
In Ohio there is no such thing as a mobile liquor license. A liquor license in Ohio is always attached to a physical location. We are not able to purchase alcohol for you or transport it to your location, the state of Ohio requires a liquor license for both. We follow all applicable Ohio alcohol laws and regulations, along with venue requirements.
Authority to Refuse or Stop Service.
Bar Bees may refuse service to any guest, or suspend, or discontinue alcohol service when identification cannot be verified, unlawful service is requested, or intoxication, unsafe conduct, or other conditions create a safety or compliance concern.
Private Cocktail Classes Responsibilities.
Bar Bees provides cocktail instruction and event services and does not sell alcoholic beverages. No portion of the Bar Bees cocktail class fees represents the sale of alcohol. Alcohol will be provided separately by the Client, venue, or an appropriately licensed third-party provider, as applicable. Alcohol may only be provided to or consumed by persons age 21 or older. The client is responsible for communicating this requirement to attendees. The event remains subject to applicable alcohol laws.
Bar Bees may refuse or discontinue a guest's participation if the guest cannot verify they are of legal drinking age, appears visibly intoxicated, engages in unsafe or disruptive conduct, or presents a reasonable safety concern.

Hosts buy the spirits, wine, and beer directly from licensed retailers. We provide an exact shopping inventory tailored to your head count.
